Unconventional Magnetic Properties of Cuprates
نویسنده
چکیده
Recently experiments on high critical temperature superconductors have shown that the doping levels and the superconducting gap are usually not uniform properties but strongly dependent on their positions inside a given sample. We show here that the large diamagnetic signal above the critical temperature Tc and the unusual temperature dependence of the upper critical field Hc2 with the temperature can be explained taking the inomogeneities and a distribution of different local critical temperatures into account.

Questioning the Universality of the Charge Density Wave Nature in Electron- doped Cuprates
Since the discovery of unconventional high-temperature superconductivity (HTSC) in cuprates, one of the central questions in high Tc research is the nature of the “normal state” which develops into HTSC. As one of the pursuits of normal state properties, the recent observation of charge density wave (CDW) order is expected to shed light on the nature of the competing phases in high Tc cuprates....
متن کاملUniversal relation between magnetic resonance and superconducting gap in unconventional superconductors
Unconventional superconductors such as the high-transition temperature (Tc) cuprates, heavy-fermion systems and iron arsenide-based compounds exhibit antiferromagnetic fluctuations that are dominated by a resonance, a collective spinone excitation mode in the superconducting state. Here we demonstrate the existence of a universal linear relation, Er ∝ 2Δ , between the magnetic resonance energy ...

– Angle dependent magnetoresistance (ADMR) and giant Nernst effect are hallmarks of unconventional density waves (UDW). Here these transport properties for d-wave density wave (d-DW) are computed for quasi-two-dimensional systems. The present theory describes ADMR observed in the pseudogap phase of Y0.68Pr0.32Ba2Cu3O7 and CeCoIn5 single crystals very satisfactorily. Introduction. – As is well k...

Two decades ago the epoch making discovery of high Tc cuprate superconductivity by Bednorz and Müller shocked the world’s superconductivity community. However, already in 1979 and 1980, the first heavy fermion superconductor CeCu2Si2 and organic superconductor (TMTSF)2PF6 have been discovered respectively. Also we know now that all these superconductors are unconventional and nodal. Further t...
متن کاملImpurity-induced states in conventional and unconventional superconductors
We review recent developments in our understanding of how impurities influence the electronic states in the bulk of superconductors. Our focus is on the quasi-localized states in the vicinity of impurity sites in conventional and unconventional superconductors and our goal is to provide a unified framework for their description. The non-magnetic impurity resonances in unconventional superconduc...
